Η Nikon Z6 II βελτίωσε την αρχική Z6 προσθέτοντας δεύτερο επεξεργαστή EXPEED 6, αυξάνοντας την ταχύτητα επεξεργασίας, τη χωρητικότητα buffer και τα fps σε 14 στη λειτουργία 12-bit RAW.

Η δεύτερη υποδοχή CFexpress/XQD δίπλα στην SD επιτρέπει “overflow” ή “backup” recording — χρησιμοποίησε τη γρήγορη κάρτα για RAW burst και την SD για JPEG backup ταυτόχρονα.
